Lance K. Ford, CBSE – CFO and Founder
Mr. Ford received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Florida in 1981. He also earned a Masters in Business Administration from The George Washington University in 1994. He began his career with Price Waterhouse in the Washington DC office. After obtaining some experience, he joined the local Certified Public Accounting firm of Friedman and Fuller, PC, where he passed the CPA exam.
In addition to CPA duties, Mr. Ford developed a direct marketing program for professional services (one of the first in the country following ethics rules changes for the accounting industry), which resulted in over 50% growth of the firm within 18 months.
Mr. Ford then transitioned into the Commercial Real Estate business with Walker & Dunlop. Over the next 12 years, Mr. Ford also had demonstrated success in commercial real estate leasing, acquisition/sales, finance and property management. He was also awarded the annual Commercial Million Dollar Sales and Leasing awards several times. For the 7 years prior to founding Palm Facility Services, Mr. Ford served as the Chief Financial Officer for a large regional building service contractor. In addition to turning around the financial management performance of that company, he was instrumental to growing the company from 5.5 million to over 17 million in annual revenue. Mr. Ford has earned the prestigious Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI) designation of Certified Building Service Executive (CBSE). The CBSE designation requires demonstrated experience within the industry along with passing a rigorous examination. Mr. Ford has served on several BSCAI committees including the Annual Convention and the Annual CEO Conference. In addition to regular attendance at the Association educational/networking events, he has also been a panelist for educational seminars and has been a speaker at the annual convention and executive conferences on the subjects of Financial and Business management. Mr. Ford also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Capitol Area Building Service Contractors Association.
